October 18, 2017 - Main Street & 14th Ave, Vancouver

I gave this man $10 Tim Hortons' gift card and he said:

"Thank you very much. I am trying to keep dry. Thank you for the card"

A 30s (or 40s) man, crouching on the edge of the sidewalk with an umbrella keeping him and his clothes dry. He told me how the rain got his sleep bag wet and now he has no way to sleep. 



October 17, 2017 - Oak & King Edward, Vancouver

I gave this woman $10 Tim Hortons' gift card and she said:

"Oh Thank you but I am not looking for anything. I am just waiting here"

A 30s woman, sitting crossed-legged on the sidewalk next to Safeway with her jacket and hat next to her. A lesson not to judge people by their appearances.




October 6, 2017 - Granville & West Pender, Vancouver

I gave this man $10 Tim Hortons' gift card and he said:

"Thank you very very much sir. Thank you"

A 40s or early 50s man, in a wheel chair, covered with blankets. He was so gentle taking the card from my hand, almost making sure he does not touch my hand; not that I would have minded if he did.


 
October 2, 2017 - Fraser St. & 44th Avenue, Vancouver

I gave this man $10 Tim Hortons' gift card and he said:

"That's so well of you sir, so well. Thank you"

A 40s guy, with very alive eyes and smile. A physical disability preventing him leading a normal life. A perfect gentleman.
