I gave this man a $10 Tim Horton gift card and he said:

"Awesome. Thank you very much"

A burly thirties guy that has obviously been sleeping on the streets for more than a day. He was holding a 'I'm hungry' sign.
April 19, 2018 - Olympic Village, Vancouver

I gave this man a turkey sandwich and pack of mixed fresh cut fruit from Urban Fair and he said:

"Thank you so much man. Have an awesome day man."

A young guy with a sign saying 'I'm depressed and I'd like to meet people'. The smile he gave me when I gave him the food was so huge, it brightened my day.
April 19, 2018 - Quebec Street, close to Terminal, Vancouver

I gave this woman a $10 Tim Horton gift card and she said:

"Thank you. Thank you."

An older woman holding a sign with 'food to share please'. She came to the car at a stop light. She went to the convertible Porsche behind me and he refused her. As she was walking away, he called her back and gave her $5.00. I hope my gesture inspired him.
April 13, 2018 - Main Street & 11th, Vancouver

I gave this man a bag of potato chips and he said:

"Thank you. I'm sorry to ask but I'm really scared"

An older man, shivering, wet. He started to cry as he said I'm really scared. Glad someone else behind me gave him some more food.
March 13, 2018 - Alberni & Georgia Streets, Vancouver

An older man with his left hand cut off. Shivering in the cold.
