June 15, 2019 - Terminal Skytrain Station, Vancouver

I invited a guy asking for money to buy him what he wanted at A&W and he said:

"Thank you very much. This is so cool.”

A young First Nations guy. He enjoyed choosing hi meal and drink. The A&W staff were amazingly polite, respectful and patient as he was trying to figure out what he liked to eat.
May 7, 2019 - Kingsway and Fraser,  Vancouver

I gave this man $3 at an intersection and he said:

"Thank you very much. Have a great day.”

A old hunchbacked man looking frail in the middle of an intersection. I got the wrath of the selfish drivers behind me as my interaction with this man meant we all missed our left hand turn signal. Life can wait people.
April 10, 2018 - Chinatown, Vancouver

I gave a young guy an egg sandwich and fruit box from Starbucks and he said:

"Thank you sir." (With a huge smile)

A young First Nations guy sitting on the sidewalk smoking and shivering in the cold. He was not even asking for help but his gratefulness for the food showed that he really needed to eat.
February 28, 2019 - Railtown, Vancouver

I bought an older woman a sandwich and coffee and she said:

"Thank you very much"

An older woman who approached me for food at the entrance of Railtown Cafe in Railtown. Kudos to the staff for being respectful and accommodating.
December 23, 2018 - Olympic Village, Vancouver

I gave this man a turkey sandwich, a package of cut fruit and ginger cookies and he said:

"Thank you very much. God bless you"

A middle aged man with a sign asking for food across from Urban Fair's entrance. I asked him what kind of sandwich would he liked and he asked for the turkey explaining that their ham sandwiches are not as good.
December 7, 2018 - Fraser Street and 40the Avenue, Vancouver

I gave this man a sandwich and he said:

"Thank you plenty. God bless you."

An old man shivering in the cold and clearly weak and hungry.
December 5, 2018 - Arbutus Street and 4th Avenue, Vancouver

I gave this man a $6.00 fancy donut he said:

"Thank you very much"

This was an old man, on the street, shivering for real in -2 degrees weather. His voice was barely audible but he seemed to have enjoyed the food.
October 6, 2018 - Boundary and Grandview Highway, Vancouver

I gave this man a $10 Tim Horton's gift card and he said:

"Thank you very much, much appreciated"

A young man looking very tired and hot in between the cars asking for help with food.
September 6, 2018 - Fraser and 45th Avenue, Vancouver

I gave this man two sandwiches and he said:

"Thank you very much. What time is it?"

An older man, in a wheelchair. He seemed to have had a bit too much of some intoxicants but still delved into the sandwiches immediately and seemed to be really enjoying the food.
August 27, 2018 - Main and 7th Streets, Vancouver

I gave this guy a $10 Tim Horton's gift card and he said:

"Thank you so much. That's great. Thank you"

A young man cleanly dressed up but on the street and asking for change in a sign on his cap.
July 23, 2018 - Burrard and Pender Streets, Vancouver

I gave this man a burger, fries and drink and he said:

"Thank you very much and hope your day is good"

A young man on a street corner with a sign saying 'you are so good looking'. Bought the food from a food truck next to him. The smile on his face as he received the food was angelic.
